Boston Globe: Companies get into the Weblog Act
Boston Globe Online / Business / Companies get into weblog act
I think the link above may expire soon. It should be archived. The author is Hiawatha Bray.
Anyway, it's a review and commentary about the recent ClickZ Weblog Business Strategies 2003 Conference & Expo- where people came together to talk about blog applications for business.
The article mentions a few organizations using blog technology:
State of Connecticut
Macromedia, Inc. example
BizNetTravel.com example
I'm sure there must be more. I think there are a number of ways that the blog concept can be used in business- extenally and internally. Soon you'll see my own effort for Common Craft, my business- and hear a lot more about what I think on the subject...
Woohoo! I'm glad you posted this, which I found through Technorati, or I might not have seen the Boston Globe coverage. BizNetTravel is my client! Thanks for posting it.
:-)
Lee, checking back again, I notice that you have the link correct to my client's blog, but you write it out incorrectly: It's BizNetTravel.com, not BizTravel.com. Too bad, that second domain would be sweet for a travel agent.
Comment by: Rick Bruner June 25, 2003 06:26 AMOkay, sorry to get greedy with your comments field, here, but I have another client/friend who has recently started a business blog: Roundtable Communications. At first I was worried he was going to let it die on the vine (entrepreneur launching a new biz, new baby at home, etc.), but he's posted three days in a row! He's on a blogging tear! Focused on "virtual communications" -- e.g., teleconferencing, wi-fi products, and the like.
