Big Day: CommonCraft.com is LIVE!

Some readers may be aware that I recently quit my job to become an independent consultant-my practice is called "Common Craft". I've been planning it for almost a year and today the Common Craft website went live. It's been something I've looked forward to for a long time. It's still very much under construction- but it is there.

Many, many thanks to Anthony for the technical and design work in his spare time.

As you can tell from this site, I'm really interested in online communication and Common Craft will focus, really specifically, on all the ways organizations can use online communication tools to accomplish goals. I'll be posting my own content as well as links and news from around the web.

The site is essentially a web log, built on the Moveable Type platform. As an interesting note, we used Moveable Type as a content management system for most parts of the site. Most of what you see is actually managed via blog entries. This helps me, who is not super-technical, manage the content without dealing with html pages.

I'm going to be making some changes to this site which will reflect it focusing less on communication and more on me, personally.
