Charleston's New Bridge

I used to live in Charleston, South Carolina before Seattle and get scared every time I had to cross the Cooper River. The original bridge was built in 1929 and eventually became a bottleneck and a safety hazard.

Just before I left (in 1998), there was talk of a new bridge and as of July 16th, the new bridge has become a reality. More pics/info here.
